Softening performance in the property market - reflecting external factors at play

Softening performance in the property market - reflecting external factors at play

CoreLogic's Pain & Gain report reveals the proportion of properties sold with a profit, has slipped to 93 percent, at the beginning of this year.

This compares to 99 percent sold with a profit in May 2021.

Chief Property Economist Kelvin Davidson says more listings are offering more choice to buyers - and some are managing to get through sneaky offers.

He says the wider influences are subduing price pressures - making it trickier for resellers compared to the market a couple of years ago.
