    - article from www.rugbyleague.co.nz

Gold Coast NRL winger Jojo Fifita has credited a lashing with swimming pool noodles by coach Des Hasler as key to lifting him to greater heights, particularly when defusing bombs.

The 21-year-old was at his best in the win over North Queensland on Sunday when he also ran for 156 metres and scored a try.

The Titans have won two of their past five games and lost the others by four points or fewer to sit four points outside the top eight ahead of Saturday's Magic Round match with Newcastle in Brisbane.
