Kahurangi and Nelson Lakes National Parks, including the Southern Alps Isolated showers, turning to rain about the Alps tomorrow, with snow lowering to 500 metres later, possibly heavy. Fiordland A few showers, turning to rain this afternoon or evening, with heavy falls, falling as snow overnight, clearing toward midday tomorrow. WINDS Northwesterlies, gale in Fiordland, easing overnight. Winds turning southeasterlies south of Mount Cook tomorrow. FREEZING LEVEL 3000 metres sloping to 1600 metres in the south.
