The Mycoplasma bovis outbreak is being linked to a slowdown in the rural property market

Seventeen percent fewer farms were sold over the past year.
Real Estate Institute rural spokesperson Brian Peacocke says the disease means there are tracts of land which won't be sold until they're clean.
He says there's no demand for bovis-infected property... and so they won't even be listed.
