Market Report - Friday, 3 Feb 2012
The NZ Sharemarket fell slightly yesterday with the NZX50 down -0.07% percent (-2.41 points) from previous close to end the day at 3,312. The most actively traded stock on the bourse, with over 14.5 million shares changing hands was Telecom NZ, closing the day up 1% from it's opening to $2.18. The next biggest trader was Fisher & Paykel Appliances (40.5c) with over 2.4 million shares being traded. Rises outweighed falls by 65 to 60, with the star of the day being Fisher & Paykel Appliances (up 7%), while the biggest loser was Salvus Strategic Investments Ltd (down 20%). |
