Market Report - Tuesday, 9 Mar 2010
The NZ Sharemarket fell slightly yesterday with the NZX50 down -0.29% percent (-9.61 points) from previous close to end the day at 3,213. The most actively traded stock on the bourse, with over 6.2 million shares changing hands was Telecom NZ, closing the day down 1% from it's opening to $2.21. The next biggest trader was Kiwi Income Property Trust ($1.02) with over 2.6 million shares being traded. Falls outweighed rises by 93 to 77, with the biggest loser being Dorchester Pacific, while the star of the day was NZ Wool Services Intl. Ltd (up 22%). |
