The 29-year-old's been charged with three counts of aggravated robbery and is appearing in the Waitakere District Court today.
In each of the three robberies, police say the man handed the bank teller a note which claimed he had a weapon and demanded they hand over cash.
The robberies took place in Glen Eden, West City Mall and Henderson, each a few weeks apart and at different branded banks.
Police also searched a house in West Auckland seizing a few thousand dollars, a BMW and an imitation gun.
