Suspicious death in Hastings
Hastings police say the death of a 60 yr old man in Flaxmere is suspicious, post mortem results should confirm how he died
16 September 2009
A post mortem examination will today be carried out on a man found dead in a Hastings house.
Police were called to a Flaxmere property on Monday night to find the 60 year-old already dead.
Detective sergeant Warren Murdoch says they believe there had been a domestic dispute. No weapons were found at the house, but police are treating the death as suspicious.
Warren Murdoch says it is important to establish how the man died and information from the post mortem will do that.
