A 44-year-old man who groomed a young girl for sex has again failed in his bid to appeal his sentence.
Kevin Burdett was given a jail term of two years and four months after he pleaded guilty to having sex with the 15-year-old.
Such a charge carries a maximum sentence of ten years imprisonment.
The Supreme Court has upheld a Court of Appeal decision which found the sentence was justified.
In a statement, it says although the sex appears to have been consensual, that in itself is not a defence.
