Inquiry into doctor's death boosted
There are now 20 police officers working on the investigation into the death of Dr Graham Robinson in a hit and run
4 November 2009
The number of police investigating the death of Dr Graham Robinson while out cycling in West Auckland has reached 20.
The case featured on Police 10-7 last week and called for sightings of any white Toyota Hilux ute which frequently uses Peak Rd in Kaukapakapa.
Detective Sergeant Scott Armstrong says increasing the number of investigators has allowed the many calls from the public to be followed up promptly. He says police are confident this systematic process will lead to the driver involved being identified.
Mr Armstrong says through their investigations it is conceivable the driver did not intentionally target Dr Robinson and may have lost control or did not see him.
