The man accused of killing a Christchurch Cat Protection League worker has pleaded guilty to murder, in the High Court in Christchurch.
Ashley Peach was charged with murdering Kerry Downey in August last year.
Ms Downey had visited his Riccarton flat one night after work, responding to a cat rescue call out.
Her body was found days later in the Port Hills area.
