    Ford driver Jason Bright has upstaged the big names taking pole position for tonight's V8 Supercar race at Phillip Island

    Ford driver Jason Bright has upstaged the big names to take pole position for this evening's V8 Supercar race at Phillip Island.

    Bright clinched top spot in the top ten Shootout ahead of Holden's Will Davison and series leader Jamie Whincup. Shane van Gisbergen has qualified eighth.

    The race starts at 5.35pm (NZ time).
