While targeting a clean sweep of Bangladesh, Black Caps captain Daniel Vettori is wary not to underestimate his opponents.
The series gets underway tonight with a one-off Twenty20 international in Hamilton.
Vettori says Bangladesh are a solid unit and a team on the improve. He says it will be a tough ask for New Zealand and they know there is an expectation on them to win every game. He says although that is good pressure for the team, Bangladesh are a decent side.
Vettori's averages with both bat and ball against Bangladesh are markedly more impressive than his career averages, having taken 25 with the bat in previous one-dayers against them, with his wickets at less than 20.
Vettori says he is not the only one in the side who has got a good record against Bangladesh.
"I think a lot of the guys will have confidence, I think whenever you play in your own country against a subcontinent team there's an expectation that you should do well against them, and some guys have got some very good performances against Bangladesh."
The match starts at 7pm at Seddon Park.
