Vettori sends Bangladesh in to bat

Bangladesh will bat first in the final one-dayer against the Black Caps in Christchurch, Tim Southee replaces Daryl Tuffey

    11 February 2010
Black Caps captain Daniel Vettori has won the toss and inserted Bangladesh in to bat in the third and final one-dayer in Christchurch.

The pitch has been predominantly undercover for the last three days and has a noticeable green tinge to it.

Vettori says they did not bat first to try and attempt to prolong the match, because they have to take any win they can and make the most of the conditions they are presented with.

Tim Southee is back in the Black Caps eleven, replacing Daryl Tuffey who is resting a strained hamstring.
