Rower excited about nearing landfall
Sean Quincey, trans-Tasman rower, hopes to make landfall at Ninety mile Beach tomorrow morning and excited about the prospect

Weather conditions are favourable for trans-Tasman rower Sean Quincey as he approaches New Zealand.
There were fears yesterday that strong 30-knot winds would blow his craft north of the country. His spokesman Oliver Young says Quincey is now back on track and is around 100 kilometres from shore. He is expected to reach Ninety Mile Beach tomorrow morning.
"He woke up this morning and was a little bit excited about the fact that conditions weren't as severe as he was expecting. I think the adrenalin and the excitement of landing starting to kick in."
Mr Young says Sean is in good spirits and hoping the favourable weather conditions last long enough for him to make land.
