    Pussycat Dolls ‘inevitable’ split

Nicole Scherzinger has admitted the original Pussycat Dolls split was “inevitable”, as the other members of the group were hired as dancers, rather than singers.

The Pussycat Dolls split was “inevitable” as Nicole Scherzinger was the only one contracted to sing.

The girl group has seen every member apart from Nicole replaced in the last year, but she reckons this was destined to happen, as the other girls were only hired as backing dancers.

She said: “Nothing went wrong. It was just inevitable. You put five girls together to make one of the biggest groups in the world and things are going to clash. It was always going to happen.

“The group was always a dance group, a burlesque dance group. They cast me to be the singer of the group.

“Some of the girls were dancers and singers as well. Everyone had an important role but we just couldn’t switch it up.”

Nicole – who is set to start working with the band’s new recruits Vanessa Curry, Jamie Lee Ruiz, Rino Nakasone-Razalan and Kherington Payne – admitted the most famous line-up of the group had such a demanding schedule their parting ways eventually felt “natural”.

She added to Perez Hilton: “We had a great five years together but it was intense too. People didn’t realise our schedule was just work, work, work and no sleep for years.

WWe were breathing each other’s air 24/7, it was natural that it was going to happen.”

Original members Jessica Sutta, Melody Thornton, Ashley Roberts and Kimberley Wyatt have all announced plans to pursue solo careers since their departure from the Pussycat Dolls.
