Alex Reid wants 10m to leave

Alex Reid is reportedly refusing to leave his former marital home in Surrey, South East England, unless estranged wife Katie Price agrees to pay him £10 million.

Alex Reid is reportedly refusing to leave his marital home unless his estranged wife Katie Price pays him £10 million.

The 35-year-old cage fighter – who was publicly dumped by the former glamour model last month who also criticised him for being "fascinated by life in the media eye" – wants a 50-50 split of their possessions and the enormous settlement in return for a divorce and won't move out of their eight-bedroom mansion in Surrey, South East England, until she concedes to his demands.

According to the Daily Star newspaper, he told friends: "I am going nowhere until she pays me the cash I deserve."

A pal added: "The divorce is still very much on track and Kate's feelings about Alex remain the same. Alex isn't sleeping, he is twitchy and just has no grasp on reality. It's as though he thinks this is all one big game that will just disappear."

Meanwhile, matrimonial lawyer David Osbourne explained Alex could be set to pocket an estimated third of 32-year-old Katie's fortune, which is believed to be around £40 million.

He said: "The outcome is by no means certain but I would predict that Alex will come away with something like £10 million – a third, maybe, of what she is worth. All her belongings will go into the pot and count towards the settlement."

Despite being desperate to get Alex out of their marital home, Katie is not prepared to give up such a large sum of money so quickly and has enlisted the services of celebrity divorce lawyer Fiona Shackleton – dubbed the 'Steel Magnolia – who dealt with Sir Paul McCartney's 2008 split from Heather Mills.

A friend of the beauty added: "Kate has worked hard to build up an inheritance for her kids and there is no way she will just hand over a bundle of cash to Alex."
