Dannii Minogue has been spotted looking “lonely and miserable” following her split from Kris Smith.
The singer-turned-fashion designer – who confirmed the end of their four-year relationship on twitter yesterday (04.04.12) – reportedly escaped on a work trip to a honeymoon resort on the Great Barrier Reef while Kris cleared his belongings out of their Melbourne home.
11 April 2012 The 40-year-old ‘Put The Needle On It’ hitmaker took their 20-month-old son Ethan with her to the exclusive Hayman Island Hotel, where guests say she appeared subdued.
A source told The Sun newspaper: “The place was mostly full of loved-up couples. Dannii looked very lonely and miserable.
“When anyone asked where Kris was she brushed it off. She only left her suite when she was needed for work.
“And she clung to her little boy like she didn’t want to let him go.”
Meanwhile, former rugby player Kris is believed to want to stay Down Under in a bid to be close to their son.
An insider told Australian newspaper The Daily Telegraph: "Kris is and has been very much a hands-on dad and he wants to remain in Australia. He loves it here.
"He loves the weather, the lifestyle, the relaxed people and if it is up to him he will want as much of Ethan as he can have."
