    Sharon Osbourne smitten with granddaughter

Sharon Osbourne says witnessing the birth of her first grandchild was a "life changing experience" and is already smitten with baby Pearl.

Sharon Osbourne says seeing her first grandchild being born was a "life changing experience".

The 'America's Got Talent' judge was there when when son Jack and his fiancee Lisa Stelly welcomed their daughter Pearl into the world yesterday (24.04.12) and she admits she's already smitten with the tot.

Writing on her twitter page, she said: "Today I witnessed my first grandchild being born, life changing experience. She is an angel."

And it seems Sharon is not the only Osbourne family member to be taken with little Pearl, who weighed 8lbs 6oz.

Daughter Kelly also took to her twitter page to say how proud she was of brother Jack and future sister-in-law Lisa.

She wrote: "thank you so much for your congratulations but they realy should be gonig to @lisamarstelly & @mrjacko! I am one proud Auntie! (sic)"

Pearl was due to enter the world last week and Sharon admitted it was a family trait to be late.

Speaking before the birth, Sharon - who also has daughter Aimee with husband Ozzy Osbourne - said: "Like its Grandma, it's late. I'm always late and this baby is late ... It could be (born) any second."

Sharon also said how she was happy for the baby to call her 'Shazza' as a nickname, like the rest of her family does, instead of grandma.
