Sandra Bullock is dedicated to son

Sandra Bullock's son is her "whole life", though friends says she is still adjusting to being a single parent.

Sandra Bullock's son is her "whole life".

The 47-year-old actress began the process of adopting little Louis, now two, in January 2010, while still married to husband Jesse James, but following the breakdown of her marriage, she took on his care as a single parent and friends have praised how well she looks after the youngster.

One pal told People magazine: "Being a mom is her total focus now. Louis has become her whole life.

"She is raising Louis as a single mom, and she never thought it would be this way."

Although they think she is coping well, Sandra's friends say the brunette beauty - who is juggling renovating her Beverly Hills home with raising Louis and working at her Fortis Films production company - is still adjusting to being a single parent.

The source added: "She's still trying to figure out her new life."

Since adopting Louis, Sandra has made just one film - 'Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close' with Tom Hanks - and has previously admitted cutting her workload was a conscious decision so she could enjoy motherhood.

Discussing the film choice, she has said: "Whatever next opportunity I was given had to be an amazing opportunity for me and for my son so that we had a great time. It was no longer selfish actress in the moment.

"I didn't necessarily want to work at that time. I was just so happy being a mom. I'm still very happy being a mom. That just shifted and became my whole priority."
