Lara Stone: David Walliams 'stalked me'

David Walliams "stalked" his wife Lara Stone to get her attention when they first met.

David Walliams "stalked" his wife Lara Stone to get her attention when they first met.

The 28-year-old Dutch model and the 40-year-old British comedian started dating in September 2009 but she has revealed she wasn't instantly interested in him but he was determined to woo her.

In an interview with Dutch Vogue magazine, Lara said: "He stalked me".

When asked if it wasn't exactly love at first sight, she added: "To him it was!"

The catwalk beauty - who announced her engagement to David in January 2010 before the couple married in May of the same year - believes she and the 'Britain's Got Talent' star have a great relationship because they share a similar sense of humour and are both strong-minded individuals.

She said: "I think people like it when you have a bit of personality. It helps that I am not afraid to say what I want to do and what I don't want to do."

Lara has no immediate plans to have a baby with David but they are enjoying practising being parents by caring for their Border Terrier puppy Bert - who they adopted on Valentine's Day (14.02.12).

She said: "A baby will ¬probably never be as fun as Bert."
