The Wanted are set to record songs with Chris Brown and Justin Bieber

The British boy band are currently working on their third album and have talked to the pair about appearing on some tracks.

Speaking about Justin - with who they share a manager in the US, Scooter Braun - Jay McGuiness said: "We talked about it, and we have a song that we think he'd sound great on."

Siva Kaneswaran added: "We've talked to Chris Brown as well, which would be really good. We talked to Chris actually at 'The Voice,' and he said he was down as well."

Max George said: "We have got a song we think would be perfect."

The 'Glad You Came' hitmakers - which also include Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes - are excited about their new material because they are trying to be "daring" and produce something "fresh".

Jay told MTV News: "It's a new, fresh start for us. The singles we started writing and recording, so far, we're excited about. But it's still gonna be parties for The Wanted. I think it's gonna be a few surprises too."

Siva added: "[It] could be collabs or it could be rapping. There's not gonna be any rapping; I'm just kidding. But it is surprising for ourselves, too, because we are just going to try and be daring and try and step it up a bit, so hopefully the fans will like it."
