Kim Kardashian's mother doesn't think she got into a relationship too soon after her split form Kris Humphries.
19 May 2012 Her parent and manager thinks that her 31-year-old daughter was smart about the timing in which she chose to start dating rapper Kanye West, 34, following the announcement of her divorce from the 27-year-old basketball player.
Speaking on the Today show she said: "He's been a family friend for a long time and he's a really nice guy. When your kids are happy, you're happy."
"I think Kim is just hanging out with friends. There's nothing crazy going on. They're just having a really good time. My kids are really smart about timing and all that. So she knows what she's doing."
When presenter Kathy Lee Gifford, who is godmother to her youngest children Kendall and Kylie Jenner, added that some people saying she wasn't as smart with the timing of her wedding last August, she insisted Kim didn't mean any harm.
Kris replied: "First and foremost, she didn't want to disappoint anybody. She feels horrible about what happened. She's still going and struggling through that whole process. That will be finalized sooner or later.
"But her priority right now is work and she's in London today launching a new fragrance. She just doesn't stop. So she's full speed ahead."
Kardsahian and Humphries married on August 20, 2011 and 72 days later she filed for divorce.
