Jennifer Hudson and David Otunga relieved they can now start planning their wedding.

William Balfour, the ex-husband of Jennifer's sister Julia Hudson, was found guilty of the triple murders of her mother, brother and nephew last month.

And with justice served, the couple now is excited for their nuptials to take place.

David told People.com: "That was something that was hanging over our heads for so long, and now we feel like we can finally breathe a sigh of relief. Everything is good now."

In honour of their deceased relatives, the couple started the Julian D. King Fountain to donate Christmas toys and school supplies for underprivileged children.

The WWE wrestler, 32, said about Jennifer: "I'm blessed to have such a wonderful woman in my life who cares for our child so lovingly. It's made me love her just that much more."

Jennifer, 30, added: "I care for my child like my mummy cared for me."

Their child David Jr, who turns three in August is a huge fan of his father's craft.

The parent said: "I get home Tuesday, and he's already seen the show three times. He actually calls it 'WW-Dada.' And he never goes anywhere without my action figure."

The couple are keeping the date of the big day a secret and David assured that he has no plans to upstage the bride, who's previously said she's designed a three-piece dress.

He added: "My attire won't be quite the show that hers is."
