The 'Boss' actor - whose 32-year-old spouse is eight months pregnant with twins - invited 20 close friends to help him and fourth wife celebrate their impending arrivals in a Chicago bar where guests sipped beer and champagne cocktails - except for Kayte, who was served a non-alcoholic 'mocktail.'

A source told US Weekly: "Kelsey and Kayte were so cute together - he helped her open every gift!

"He was by her side the entire time. He was totally into it, everyone seemed like a big cute family."

Kelsey, 57 - who already has four kids, Spencer, 28, and Greer, 19, from previous relationships and 10-year-old Mason and Jude, seven, with ex-wife Camille Donatacci - previously revealed he can't wait for the twins to be born in July.

He said: "I'm really looking forward to meeting these new arrivals in our lives.

"Kayte's one of the most loving, amazing, warm human beings I've ever met."

Kelsey and Kayte suffered heartache when she suffered a miscarriage in October 2010, but the actor revealed last year that he wanted to have more kids because he never "tires" of being with his children.

He explained: "I'd like more kids. I never tire of them. My eldest daughter, Spencer, is expecting my first grandchild.

"Hopefully, my younger children will be able to live with me and Kayte soon. I'm working on it."
