    Kristen Bell to star in The Lifeguard

    Kristen Bell will star in 'The Lifeguard' as a 30-year-old reporter who quits her job and starts a relationship with a 16-year-old delinquent.

    The 'Veronica Mars' beauty will take on the role of a 30-year-old reporter who quits her job in New York City to move back to her hometown where she gets a job as a lifeguard and starts a relationship with a 16-year-old delinquent.

    Meryl Streep's daughter Mamie Gummer, Martin Starr, Alex Shaffer, Joshua Harto and Amy Madigan will also star in the film.

    Liz W. Garcia will direct the movie which is set to start shooing in Pittsburgh this month.

    Mike Landry and Carlos Velazquez of C Plus Pictures will produce, along with Harto and Garcia of La Pistola, Inc.

    Kristen has a host of big screen projects lined up including 'Hit And Run', written and co-directed by fiance Dax Shepard.

    The action comedy follows former getaway driver Charlie (Dax) who puts his witness protection identity at risk to help his fiancee (Kristen) get to Los Angeles for her dream job.

    The pair are pursued on the road by both Charlie's former gang and the FBI.

    Bradley Cooper, Tom Arnold and Kristin Chenoweth co-star in the movie.
