Noel Gallagher doesn't think he will ever retire

The 45-year-old singer - who rose to fame with his brother Liam Gallagher and the band Oasis, before starting a solo career - does not believe he will quit the music industry as long as he continues to write his own material.

He said: "It's easier for a solo artist, so I don't see a time when I'll retire. I never see a time when I'll pack in, especially if I'm still writing. What else am I going to do? There's only so much TV you can watch."

The 'AKA... What a Life!' hitmaker now records under the name Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds and loves the way he can still entertain a big crowd with his songs.

He told The Sun newspaper: "As the song goes, I haven't got 'Moves Like Jagger' - I've more got moves like [The Rolling Stones bassist, Bill] Wyman.

"But people at gigs either want to dance or sing, and I can make people do that.

"And they're not watching me anyway, because if you look, they're staring at the heavens singing their hearts out, and that's magical."
