Body found on street 'not suspicious'

A post-mortem examination has found that the death of man whose body was found on a Hamilton street is not suspicious, police say.

The death of a man whose body was found lying on a street in an industrial area of Hamilton is not being treated as suspicious, police say.

A police investigation was launched after the man's body was found lying on a footpath outside his home about 7.30am on Tuesday in the suburb of Frankton southwest of the city centre.

A statement from police on Wednesday says the man's death is not being treated as suspicious and has been reported to the coroner to determine the cause of death.

A post-mortem examination was carried out on Tuesday.
