    David Hasselhoff's girlfriend rescues beachgoer

David Hasselhoff's girlfriend Hayley Roberts was part of her own 'Baywatch' drama recently when she went to rescue a man who was suffering cramp in the sea.

David Hasselhoff's girlfriend helped rescue a man from the sea in Mexico.

Hayley Roberts - who met the 60-year-old actor when he was working in the UK on 'Britain's Got Talent' - instinctively rushed when a man was suffering cramp near the beachfront resort of Akumal, and her famous boyfriend was so impressed with her quick reactions he told her she could have been a lifeguard on his TV show 'Baywatch'.

She told BBC Wales: "I was busy chasing a turtle when I heard from far away, 'Help! Help!' I looked up and saw a man in distress. I immediately started to swim towards him out of instinct and shouted to David, who wasn't too far away, 'David that man needs help!'

"Luckily, as I arrived to him another man was already there. I said to David, 'I made a rescue!' He said, 'Good job, you could have been on 'Baywatch'.'

However, David would have had a hard time keeping up to the level of fitness of his 32-year-old girlfriend, as he recently revealed his legs no longer work as well as they used to.

He said: "I feel like I'm 40. My legs are the only thing - I'm having a hard time running.

"The best thing about 60 is that I'm 60, I'm no longer 59. My dad's 87 and he's still going. We have a good constitution and I do a lot of harm to it. I do a lot of drinking - healthy drinking but I'm pretty healthy."
