Reid scores equaliser for West Ham

All White Winston Reid got some reward for his decision not to compete at the Olympics by scoring for West Ham in a pre-season match.

New Zealand defender Winston Reid scored a last-minute equaliser as his English club West Ham drew 1-1 away to Portuguese club Braga in a pre-season soccer match.

Reid did his chances no harm of earning a place in the top team when West Ham return to the English Premiership this season after being promoted from the Championship.

The Danish born 24-year-old made himself unavailable for New Zealand's Olympic campaign in London to concentrate on West Ham's off-season preparations.
