    Clint Eastwood for Expendables 3?

Clint Eastwood and Harrison Ford are in negotiations to join the cast of 'The Expendables 3'.

Clint Eastwood and Harrison Ford are in talks to appear in 'The Expendables 3'.

The legendary movie stars could be set to join the cast of the proposed action sequel, alongside the franchise's current actors including Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jason Statham.

Producer Avi Lerner revealed to BANG Showbiz: "I have started to speak to Clint Eastwood and Harrison Ford. I'm not sure about Steven Seagal, we'll see."

'The Expendables' and 'The Expendables 2' were co-written by Sylvester - who also directed the first film - and the actor plays a big part in casting the series.

Explaining who makes the casting decisions, Avi said: "It's Sly and me. Sly is part of the production so we came together, we worked together on who we wanted. It's producer's decision."

And Avi also revealed that Sylvester came up with many of the movie's jokes, which are often at the expense of the film's cast.

Speaking at the UK premiere of 'The Expendables 2' in London, he said: "The one liners are mainly Sly's idea. He's the one that came up with the 'We all belong in a museum' line. But I must tell you that Sly didn't know about the Chuck Norris line, about the cobra biting him. We all worked together in our own ways."
