New Zealand tennis player Marina Erakovic has won her seventh career WTA doubles title after winning the Texas Open final in Dallas.
Erakovic and British partner Heather Watson made short work of the final on Saturday (NZT), beating Latvian Liga Dekmeijere and American Irina Falconi 6-3 6-0 inside an hour.
On Friday they upset the top seeded Czech pair Iveta Bensova and Barbora Zahlavova Strycova 6-7 6-4 10-7 in the semi-finals, showing they could mount a doubles challenge at next week's US Open.
It is the second tournament together for Erakovic and Watson and their second win after claiming a title in Stanford last month.
