The 'Total Recall' actress was upset at missing out on nursing a baby sheep when she was at school so her husband Len Wiseman tried to make up for her disappointment by arranging a birthday treat - only for it not to work out.
28 August 2012 She explained: "Many years ago I missed a school trip where everybody got to bottle-feed baby lambs.
"So for my birthday, my husband tried to arrange it for me. But it didn't work, because the place that said they had baby lambs didn't actually have any. So we're still working on it."
To make up for missing out on feeding the lamb, Len took 39-year-old Kate - who has a 13-year-old daughter Lily with former partner Michael Sheen - to a nearby zoo where she got close to another animal instead.
She added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "We had a tour of the zoo instead and I was kissed by a seal, which was nice but it wasn't feeding a baby lamb."
