A 25-year-old man has been charged with manslaughter over the death of a teen who was found badly injured in a shopping mall car park.
Izak Millanta, 17, died in Wellington Hospital on August 12, a day after being found unconscious in Coastlands car park early on the Kapiti Coast Saturday morning.
In Porirua District Court on Tuesday, Manawanui Stewart, who had originally been charged with assault, was charged with Izak's manslaughter.
He was also charged with assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm on another man on the same day.
Stewart was remanded in custody without plea until next month.
