Bolt coaching clinic for NZ sprinters

New Zealand's best young sprinters have the chance to learn from the best when Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolts visits Auckland next week.

Eight New Zealand sprinters will be given a coaching master class by the world's best during Olympic multi-gold medallist Usain Bolt's whistle-stop Auckland visit next Monday.

Bolt, who won gold over 100m, 200m and in the relay at the London Games, will be in Auckland for less than 24 hours to promote a sports drink.

During that time, he'll conduct a coaching clinic at AUT Millennium on Auckland's North Shore.

Athletics New Zealand has selected some of New Zealand's leading young sprinters to take part, with six confirmed so far: Aucklanders Joshua Hawkins, Dalton Coppins and Rochelle Coster; Tauranga's Joseph Millar, Rotorua's Molly Florence and Kristie Baillie of Te Aroha.

"It's rare to have the chance to get close to such a world-class athlete, and all those involved will benefit greatly from the experience," Athletics New Zealand's chief executive Scott Newman said.
