    Fire engulfs Hamilton industrial site

    The Fire Service needed 40 firefighters, manning 12 fire appliances, to control a fire at ARNZ Repairs in the Hamilton suburb of Te Rapa.

    Forty firefighters were needed to control a large industrial fire in Hamilton.

    Dallas Ramsay of Fire Service communications says the building at ARNZ Repairs was well ablaze when firefighters arrived about 5.30pm on Saturday.

    Twelve fire vehicles, manned by 40 firefighters, were needed to deal with the blaze, Ms Ramsay said.

    The fire was under control by 7pm.

    Ms Ramsay said nobody was injured.
