Stars paid tribute to late actors Paul Walker and Philip Seymour Hoffman at the MTV Movie Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night.

Jordana Brewster and Vin Diesel took a moment to remember their 'Fast and Furious' co-star Paul Walker, who died in a car crash in November last year at the age of 40, while on stage at the Nokia Theatre.

Jordana said: "I was lucky enough to work with him over the last 15 years and witness the generosity of his heart every day I was with him.

"He was humble, he thought about others. Whether you knew Paul for five minutes or were a close friend, he made you feel like the most important person in the world."

Following an on-screen tribute, which showed footage of Paul's film career and humanitarian efforts, Vin Diesel also honoured his friend.

He said: "The world saw his magic on-screen, the world saw his philanthropic endeavours, yet I wish the world could've seen how special a brother he was."

Meanwhile, Josh Hutcherson took to the stage to accept the Movie of the Year Award on behalf of the entire 'Hunger Games: Catching Fire'

cast and after thanking the crew and fans he spoke about how excited his co-star Philip would have been to receive the prize.

Speaking to the audience, he said: "It was so cool to have Philip in our movies. He's one of the actors who I've looked up to my entire life.

"I know if Philip were here he would think this was really cool.

"We think about him everyday on set, so wherever he is, this goes out to him, too."

Philip, 46, died from an apparent heroin overdose earlier this year whilst in the middle of filming for the remaining 'Hunger Games'

sequels in which he plays Plutarch Heavensbee.
