Chris Colfer finds fan fiction written about him too terrifying to read

He told USA Today newspaper: "A lot of the (TV) audience think Glee is a documentary. There's a very select group of young girls that really want everything to be real.

"I don't look at [fan fiction], because it's terrifying. It's scary. I just. I can't. I learned that the hard way.

"I don't mind them writing about the character, but when they write about [the Glee actors] doing things with each other, it's just uncomfortable."

Chris, 24, has also recently fallen foul of a hacker, who managed to hijack his Twitter account and leave fans devastated by tweeting that Chris wouldn't be appearing in the show's final series next year, while he was on a long-haul flight.

Speaking of the incident, he said: "Whoever this A-hole was that did this knew that I was going to be on this plane and I couldn't be reached. So as soon as I landed, my phone just exploded.”
