Sia Furler has married Erik Anders Lang

The singer and songwriter - who has been behind hits for stars including David Guetta, Rihanna, Flo Rida, Christina Aguilera and many more - wed the documentary filmmaker at her home in Palm Springs, California, yesterday 2nd of August

She posted on Twitter earlier in the day: "Omg omg I'm so excited."

The 'Chandelier' star's plans to marry had only been announced in June, by her mother, Loene Furler.

Celebity Photographer Terry Richardson was at the wedding to take photographs, according to Radaronline.com.

The publicity-shy star has previously said she is bisexual and dated Jocelyn 'JD' Sampson, a musician with the groups Le Tigre and MEN.

Sia has turned her life around since 2010 when she realised she was "increasingly dependent on alcohol and drugs" and almost took her own life.

The star even went as far as to write a suicide note as she considered taking a lethal concoction of narcotics.

She was planning to check into a cheap hotel, and left instructions for her dog walker and the hotel manager in the note, writing: "I've killed myself and I don't want you to have to suffer seeing my dead body."

However,a call from a friend made her re-evaluate and she instead decided to enrol in a 12-step recovery program and take a break from her solo career.

Sia's sixth studio album, '1,000 Forms Of Fear', was released in June.
