    P. Diddy set up Khloe Kardashian and French Montana

The 'Don't Panic' rapper insists rumours his girlfriend's brother-in-law Kanye West - who has 14-month-old daughter North with Khloe's sister Kim - introduced him to the 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' star are untrue and he got in touch with the former 'X Factor' host after asking the media mogul for her number

He said: "Everybody thinks that [Kanye set us up], it was Puff. Puff was the one that introduced us... It was a studio session that's where we met and I was like yo let me get her number and Puff gave it to me."

The 29-year-old rapper - whose real name is Karim Kharbouch - has only been dating Khloe, 30, for a few months but says things are going well.

Asked how serious their relationship is by 'Extra' host Mario Lopez, he said: "Man, are you going to put me on the spot like that?... All good."

And French says he gets on very well with his girlfriend's famous family.

He said: "I love them. I had more love for them after I met them, they're more down to earth."

And while a recent episode of 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' showed Khloe and French have a run-in with her ex-husband Lamar Odom, he insists it wasn't awkward.

He said: "It wasn't that bad. "There were no awkward moments, no not at all."
