Kelly Rowland's pregnancy has been a "beautiful ride."

The 'Motivation' hitmaker and her husband Tim Witherspoon are expecting a baby boy together and she admits the experience has been really pleasant.

She told 'Access Hollywood' at the MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) last night (24.08.14) she'd experienced a few pregnancy shockers, adding:

"Some stuff I can't mention on camera! I cannot mention it on camera but it's definitely been a beautiful ride."

The 33-year-old singer's friends - including her former bandmate Beyoncé - are looking forward to Kelly's new arrival as their children will have a little playmate.

She explained: "All of my friends are over the moon. They are so excited and of course some of them have kids, and some of them don't, but for the most part they are like, 'Oh my God, I can't wait!' "

Meanwhile, despite enjoying her pregnancy, one thing Kelly has struggled with is her changing figure.

She said previously: "The most shocking thing about pregnancy to me is probably the way your body changes -- nobody can prepare you for that.

Not a book, not anything. You just go through it."

However, the brunette beauty admits she has been giving in to her pregnancy cravings recently, but she's glad her desired food at the moment is healthy.

She added: "I love sandwiches right now.

"I'm reading these different books and they're telling me what food is really great for the baby, to grow their nervous system, and their brain food and all that, so I've been trying to stay on that."
