Rita Ora slams claims she's more focused on love life than work

Rita Ora has slammed claims that she's more focused on her love life than her work, amid reports that she's feuding with ex-boyfriend, Calvin Harris.

The 'Black Widow' songstress recently was forced to pull-out of a scheduled performance of 'I Will Never Let You Down' at the Teen Choice Awards because her former beau, who produced the track, refused to let her perform the tune, but she has hit back saying it will take more than that to "knock this girl out".

Speaking to The Sun newspaper, she explained: "People forget that I'm a 23-year-old girl. What do normal girls my age do? They're at uni, dating. It's been difficult but it takes more than a few words to knock this girl out.

"Everyone talks about my love life but people don't know how much I do. I party a lot but I work hard too. I wouldn't party if I didn't do my work. I can juggle the two luckily. People think I fall very deeply in love then fall out of it quickly and that I don't really think about things a lot.

"I admit I live in the moment. I'm impulsive. I'm spontaneous. I make s**t up on the spot. But my values are still there. My mum and dad are always around, my sister works for me, for God's sake."

Rita has also hit back at speculation that the release of her second album has been pushed back as she claims that the launch was always going to happen in 2015.

She added: "It was always meant to have been released early next year. That's never changed. I don't understand why people said anything different.

"This album will sound a lot more like how I sound live. I've really challenged my own vocal."
