Angelina Jolie walked down the aisle with her six children as she tied the knot to Brad Pitt.

The couple married in France on Saturday and they made sure Maddox, 13, Pax, 10, Zahara, nine, Shiloh, eight, and five-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox, all had important roles on their big day.

A source told E! News: "Angie was given away by Maddox and Pax, and Knox helped with the rings ... Zahara, Shiloh and Vivienne had baskets of rose petals and other flowers they'd picked in the garden that morning and threw them in front of their mum and dad as they walked up the aisle."

The loved-up duo exchanged their vows at a small chapel at Chateau Miraval in the South of France in a ceremony attended by friends and family.

Meanwhile, Brad was happy to show off his wedding ring on Thursday as he attended a photocall for his upcoming movie 'Fury' at The Tank Museum in Bovington, Dorset, south west England.

The movie sees him play an army sergeant named Wardaddy who commands a Sherman tank and a five-man crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines.

And it was on a movie set that Brad and Angelina fell in love when they were shooting 2005 action film 'Mr and Mrs Smith' together.

Brad was previously married to Jennifer Aniston - who he divorced in

2005 after five years together - while filming was taking place but he has always denied cheating on her with the 'Tomb Raider' actress.

In 2006, Brad said he and Angelina would never get married until everyone in the US could but in 2012 he admitted he wasn't sure if they could wait.

He said: "We made this declaration some time ago that we weren't going to do it till everyone can. But I don't think we'll be able to hold out."

In May this year, Angelina - who underwent a double mastectomy last year - admitted the couple were waiting for the "right time" to get married and insisted their children would be their "wedding planners." She said: "We're just waiting for it to be the right time with the kids, with work, when it feels right. "We talk about it occasionally, and the kids talk about it with us.

They will in a way be the wedding planners. It's going to be Disney or paintball - one or the other! We've got a lot of different personalities in the house."

Meanwhile, Angelina will be hoping it is a case of third time lucky with Brad after she was married twice before.

The brunette beauty got married to actor Johnny Lee Miller in 1996 but they divorced in 1999, and she later tied the knot with Billy Bob Thornton in 2000, before they split up just three years later in 2003.
