Ryan Seacrest's romance with Shayna Taylor is getting serious.

The 'American Idol' host, who recently admitted he eventually hopes to have a "great marriage" like his parents, started dating the model and personal trainer, 23, last year and friends predict an engagement could be in their near future.

A source close to the 39-year-old star told Us Weekly magazine:

"Everyone before Shayna bored him. He's moving fast."

Another insider told Star magazine: "They are so affectionate and sweet together. He's ready to settle down.

"Shayna came into his life at just the right time."

Ryan recently confessed his parents, Connie and Gary, are his relationship idols.

He said: "I look at what my mom and dad have had for 40-plus years - a fantastic relationship and great marriage.

"Someday I'd like that. They're my role models."

The media mogul, who split from Julianne Hough last year, turns 40 in December and is "embracing" the idea of getting older.

He previously said: "[Hitting 40] is a turning point number where you go, 'Wait, you've got to grow up a little bit.'

    "I'm actually embracing it!"

He added: "Until recently, I felt I shouldn't ever have a day off and felt guilty going on vacation.

"That was pressure I put on myself. I've gotten a little more relaxed as I approach 40."
