Paris Hilton has paid $13,000 for the "world's smallest Pomeranian" dog.

The animal-loving socialite splashed out the huge sum for the super-cute pooch which she bought from specialist dog sellers Betty's Teacup Yorkies, who dubbed the pup 'Mr. Amazing'.

A post describing 'Mr. Amazing' on the company's website - which now has a "sold to Paris Hilton" message with it - reads: "One in a million micro, tiny little boy Mr. Amazing. He is 4.5 months old, only 10 ounces, he is amazing! Triple white ice coat with the flattest bear face ever! Super short compact cob by body with the shortest little legs ever. He has big round eyes. Ones like him are very hard to find... (sic)"

The dog - who is only 2.5 inches tall - will soon be flown from his breeders in Calgary, Canada, to Paris' home in Los Angeles and will be accompanied by his own personal nanny for the trip.

The 33-year-old blonde is very excited about meeting her new canine friend, posting on Twitter: "I love him! Cutest thing on Earth! Love my new baby!"

However, it seems Paris will not be letting the pooch keep his 'Mr. Amazing' moniker as she has asked her millions of Twitter followers to come up with a new name for the mutt.

She tweeted: "Any name suggestions for my new lil baby? (sic)"
