Kerry Washington is looking to her "she-roes" for guidance on being a working mother.
The 'Scandal' actress - who gave birth to daughter Isabelle, her first child with husband Nnamdi Asomugha, in April - looks to the show's creator, Shonda Rhimes, and her own mother for inspiration in juggling her personal and professional life and is doing her best to appreciate the "abundance of blessings" she has been given.

She said: "I have really amazing role models and she-roes who have found ways to balance work and home life, and so I am just looking to them and trying to live in the amazing abundance of blessings that I have in my life right now."
The 'Django Unchained' star couldn't be happier with how her career is panning out but thinks she needs to set herself a new list of goals as she has already achieved so many.
She told 'Access Hollywood': "I feel like I need to work on a whole new list of goals. So many of my desires and visions and dreams have already come true."
Kerry, 37, has been filming a public service announcement about financial abuse and thinks it is important to raise awareness of the rarely-discussed form of domestic violence.
She said: "For many, many of those cases -- 98 percent of those cases -- the financial abuse is what keeps a woman trapped.
"Not being able to control your finances, destroying a woman's credit, jeopardising her job."
