Simon Cowell and Cara Delevingne have held secret talks about her music career.

The media mogul is said to see the model - who previously gave up a deal with the 'X Factor' boss' rival Simon Fuller - as a potentially huge star and while a contract hasn't been offered, the two parties have been having private meetings.

A source told the Sunday Mirror newspaper: "Simon reckons Cara has the chance to make them both money. "His people haven't offered her a record deal but have been interested in talking to her."

According to the reports, Cara is keen to develop her career naturally rather than use Syco Records as a fast-track to the top - which would see her get a lot of exposure on the likes of 'The X Factor' UK and 'Britain's Got Talent'.

Meanwhile, it is said while the pair have met, they were "informal meetings" and no deal is on the table as of yet.

An insider added: "There were a couple of informal meetings earlier in the year."

It was recently claimed the Burberry model launched her music career in a "dive pub" in New York.

During the solo gig, Cara reportedly sang several original tracks along with a set of covers, which she performed acoustically at the small venue.
