Jennifer Love Hewitt once sent Matt Damon a bed - but he never thanked her.

Speaking on chat show 'Jimmy Kimmel Live', he said: "Well, I'm not a normal person.

"I was reading an article and he said this really sad thing about how all his dreams were coming true but he didn't feel that he had a bed of his own, he was always travelling.

"I remember being really busy also and thinking that's so sad, to have all your dreams come true but not have a solid foundation. So for some reason, I thought an aerobed would help that for him,"

However, Jennifer isn't sure whether Matt ever received the unusual gift because she never got a thank you from him.

She added: "It made me sad. I understand maybe his security never gave it to him, that's a possibility."

The star admits if she had asked anyone's advice about sending the lavish gift they would've probably advised her against doing so and branded her "crazy", so she just went ahead and sent the bed to him.
