Jennifer Lopez doesn't want to find another boyfriend because she is concentrating on looking after her children.

The 45-year-old star - who has six-year-old twins Max and Emme from her seven-year marriage to Marc Anthony - insists ensuring her little ones feel loved is the "most important thing" in her life, but that hasn't stopped her friends from trying to set her up with the perfect man.

Jennifer – who finalised her divorce form third husband Marc in June – said: "My friends are constantly trying to set me up but I’m just not there right now. It’s not something that’s a priority.

“I have gone from relationship to relationship but, at the end of the day, I am not ashamed of the path I have taken or the lessons I have learned.

“Right now it feels good to just be on my own and have some ‘I love Jennifer’ time, which I haven’t done a lot in my life.

“I am just spending time with myself and my kids. I still believe in love, of course, but the thing you think about most is who is good enough to come into the life of me and the kids?”

“You just want the kids to know they are loved, that’s the most important thing. Being a mother is my number one priority.”

Jennifer was recently romantically linked to 'Dancing with the Stars' professional Maksim Chmerkovskiy and choreographer JR Taylor, who is said to be a good friend, but admits she is biding her time before settling down again because she doesn't want to end up with more "misery" in her life.

She added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: “You know, I’ve always believed in that institution but it is difficult. I have a gut instinct and I follow that. When I don’t it’s when I usually go wrong with people and relationships.

“You make decisions for two reasons: out of fear or out of love, and when you make them out of fear they end in misery.

“I just try to do things that feel right to me,” she said. “I don’t try to follow or look at what anybody else is doing.

“I am not opposed to having fun, being silly, falling down, getting up … anything. I am just open for the experience and for whatever comes along.”

The 'Booty' hitmaker split with boyfriend Casper Smart in June following a two-and-a-half year romance.

She was previously married to dancer Cris Judd for two years before their split in 2003 and had a brief one-year marriage to Cuban waiter Ojani Noa from February 1997 to January 1998.

While still married to Cris, Jennifer started dating actor Ben Affleck and they later got engaged but a marriage never materialised.
