Jenny McCarthy would "love" for her son to be gay.

The former Playboy model, who has a 12-year-old child, Evan, with ex-husband John Mallory Asher, likes the idea of him wanting to shop and do her hair.

Asked how she would react if Evan were gay, the 41-year-old star said: "Oh my god, I would be so excited. We can shop! Do my hair!"

The blonde beauty, who recently married Donnie Wahlberg, says two of her male friends, who are getting married next year, helped her to raise Evan.

She told PrideSource: "They've pretty much been live-ins for the last five years of my life as a single mom when I was on the road raising Evan.

"Evan loves them dearly, and I love seeing through the eyes of an innocent child: He loves them for them and has no issue. It's wonderful."

Meanwhile, the former 'The View' co-host doesn't consider herself to be a feminist, even though she thinks men and women should be "adored and respected equally."

She said: "I've never been one of those people. I just haven't. I feel like female and males should be adored and respected equally, but I'm not going to try and go and make some kind of statement."

She added: "Even posing for Playboy, (people were like), 'You think that was a feminist move?' I don't know; I just needed to pay off college!"
