Mila Kunis thinks having a baby is the "start of an incredible journey".

The new mum - who recently had Wyatt Isabelle with fiancé Ashton Kutcher - has revealed that she marked the occasion by collaborating with jeweller, Marina B, to create a "motherhood ring".

Speaking in a video shown on Gemfields website, Mila said: "Carrying a child and bringing new life into the world marks the start of an incredible journey.

"Throughout history, every culture has its own way of recognizing this extraordinary event, often with a gift for mother or child.

"Precious green emeralds are traditionally symbols of motherhood, wisdom and long-lasting love. But they are also a symbol for hope in many cultures."

The 18-carat yellow-gold emerald ring - which Mila helped to design - will retail for $4,800 (approximately just under £3,000) and the proceeds from the sale will go towards the opening of a maternity centre in Zambia.

The 31-year-old explained: "The proceeds from this collection of Marina B and Gemfields 'motherhood rings' will benefit the opening of Gemfields Nkana Health Centre, where four new wards have been built - a major undertaking that will have long-lasting benefits to the local community."
